Tome of Deep Dark Secrets
This is actually my sketch book . I travel frequently and like to do detailed pencil illustrations to kill time in the hotel room . As the cover says ” Go where Imagination takes you ” What’s in there is MY secret .
Maine Buildings 1
I used to live in Maine and the old buildings in that part of the country are quite interesting
I hope to return to Maine some day , as I did enjoy four seasons , the beauty and the much slower pace .
Once you have lived by the ocean , you almost won’t be happy anywhere else .
The building on the left is an old house that was converted into a library for a small town .
The building on the right is a nightclub/restaurant in the old port section of Portland .
The fun part of this section of the city is that the shops are accessible from both the street and the alley , most people walk in that area with the traffic minimal .
I used one of my favorite illustrating media , colored pencil !
Steph’s Place
This is a store front wall art piece that I did for my niece . She wanted it to look like an old bare concrete building full of her main interests which is photography and art .
It stands about 11 3/4 tall by 8 1/2 wide . Mixed media , including epoxy , sintra , paper and cloth for other elements .
Paper Pirate
This was fun , the armature is foam and wire . The face was made out of sculpting epoxy and the clothing and most other details of paper . Figure stands about 8″ tall .This figure is in the current issue of Art Doll Quarterly
Big Green ornament
This is a project that has just been completed . This has been donated to the Junior League for their silent auction for this December . The outside is traditional with the inside being a southwestern theme . It is made almost entirely out of epoxy and is 6×9″ in size .
